Seek a doctor
If you are inflicted with erectile dysfunction, it
is essential that you consult a physician regarding
your condition. Although embarrassment may hinder
you from doing so, it is in your best interest to
pay your doctor a visit. He/she will be able to
prescribe a treatment that is fitting for your
condition.
When you go to see your doctor, tell him how the
complication developed, whether it started gradually
or unexpectedly. Also be sure to inform the doctor
of any personal dilemmas, if any, that you are
facing. If you are feeling stressed because of work
or you and your partner are dealing with some
issues, it is important that you communicate this to
your physician.
ED medication
The most common treatment for erectile dysfunction
is a prescription for pills such as Viagra, Cialis,
and Levitra. All of these drugs have been approved
by the Food and Drug Administration. These drugs all
generally work the same way. By inhibiting certain
enzymes, these drugs prevent the penile muscles from
slackening. As a result, the users are able to
sustain the erections necessary for sexual
gratification.
Drugs like Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra are all very
effective. Some studies show that these drugs have
been successful in treating roughly 70% of all
erectile dysfunction cases. Among the three, Cialis
is the most potent. Its effects last for over 30
hours. Viagra and Levitra usually last around four
hours.
Users are generally directed to take just 10
milligrams of the medication, which is about half a
pill. The medicine is to be taken 20 minutes before
sexual activity. Although reported side effects are
uncommon, some of these include headaches, diarrhea,
and dizziness.
ED is not a hopeless condition
No matter how frustrating experiencing erectile
dysfunction may be, it is important not to lose
hope. This condition can be easily treated with the
proper medication and, once it is, expect that your
self-esteem and sex life will see drastic
improvements.
